Capital Adequacy Regulation, Supervision and Compliance |
Capital adequacy regulation and supervision of
banks are the corner stones of financial stability. Dramatic
changes in the international coordination and domestic
implementation of these prudential guidelines require that all
financial professionals are familiar with current thinking by
regulators and practitioners.
The objective of this seminar series is a careful explanation of
existing global banking supervision, capital regulation and
practice, but also a look ahead at the coming implementation of
the Basel II Accord. In addition, participants will be updated
on the likely impact on financial institutions and markets, and
the implications for bank risk management, governance and
disclosure. The seminars focus on particularly sensitive areas
such as the modeling and management of credit, market and
operational risk, and to testing the robustness of those risk
management systems. Additional seminars in this series explain
in detail how bankers have to comply with other supervisory
requirements.
